MapToSite is back. Here’s what we fixed.
An update on checkout, website generation and credit tracking.
We’re sorry for the interruption to MapToSite. If you tried to use the platform and ran into a blocked page, a checkout problem or an unsuccessful generation, you deserved a clearer and more reliable experience.
We paused access while we addressed the database interruption and repaired parts of the checkout and generation workflow. We also used this time to improve how the platform tracks credits and reports failures.
What changed
Checkout now verifies confirmed Polar orders before adding credits. We tested a real Starter purchase and checked the order, the credit ledger and the payment notification together. Repeated payment events are handled without granting the same credits twice.
Website generation now runs through OpenRouter, with server-side spending limits tied to purchased credits. Free signup credits are for HTML previews. Complete Next.js projects require purchased credits. Existing credit-pack prices and quantities are unchanged.
When a generation fails, its application credits are returned automatically. The Credits page separates work in progress, completed debits and refunds, so you can see what happened to your balance. We tested both unsuccessful attempts and a completed preview and Next.js project, including a build of the generated code.
We also tightened the treatment of generated previews. A demo form must not pretend it saved an appointment or sent a message, and missing business photos should not turn into invented image URLs. Generated business copy still needs your review before you publish a client’s website.
